As we end summer and many people head back to school this fall, with that comes the reality of flu season and how easily it can spread. Unlike last fall, this year there is a heightened sense of awareness with the Swine Flu. News reports indicate scientists have been working hard to develop a swine flu vaccine just in time for this year’s flu season. This raises a few questions: Will there be enough vaccines? Who should get them first? (It’s been rumored if there is a shortage the elderly and pregnant women should get them first). But perhaps the most important question one should ask is; Will the vaccine be safe? The Swine Flu Epidemic of 1976 inspired the vaccination of 40 Million people, but a little known fact was that those vaccinations caused devastating side effects to over 4,000 victims. The frightening revelations about this event may be similar to what we are experiencing today. As a parent of a child injured by vaccines, I couldn’t agree more. Watching him struggle every day would make you mad as hell at those ignoring the evidence that we are giving way too many vaccines at too early of an age. Now, they want to put forward a vaccine for everything that comes down the road. As with anything else…follow the money. I do not deny the benefit some vaccines have provided society but something has gone terribly wrong with the vaccine programs. Unfortunately, the problem will continue until those running the show decide to honestly investigate and fix the issue. They are reluctant to do that because doing so would admit guilt and open the door to lawsuits against manufacturers, school districts, medical practitioners, etc. Instead, they will just keep rolling the dice. I say hell no. No more vaccines for me and my family until they are safe.
